Entry 19: Richard Dolan

Richard Dolan here.  We're far enough outside the metro that we can drive on the highway directly instead of off road.  Still keeping the plow for as long as we can in order to get through the snow.  Due to the increase of the group size, we decided to get another couple vehicles and use our radios to coordinate.  Vergil was disappointed that there didn't seem to be any motorcycles, but we did get an RV and a grayhound bus.  The bus will definitely be good for hauling a lot of materials that we gather up.  We needed to move a few vehicles that were crashed at the front end of the empty vehicles to get them out, but the plow had more than enough horsepower to do the job.  There were some zombies that came near, but not a lot, probably due to the fact that no one had been near that area for a while.  Part of the reason we went with those vehicles in particular was their functionality, but also that there weren't any decomposing corpses on them.  A few suicides in some of the others.  We've siphoned off enough gas now to fill up all the vehicles and we've strapped a dozen gas cans to the plow, so we should be able to make it a good distance on those alone.  Though, from the distance to Jane's relative's house we're going to need more than that to get us all the way.  So, we're going to aim toward passing close enough to a few towns to take the van in and get more as we go along, but its going to tough.  We don't know what lays ahead for us, but everyone hopes its better than what we left.  I try to stay objective, but I hope so to.
